State-of-the Art Green Campus Plans Reviewed

The Marco Island Academy announced the approval of its charter application by the Collier County School Board. At the same time, the academy's leadership released two artist's renderings of the new school, although temporary and permanent sites have not been announced. The state-of-the-art, "green campus has been engineered by one of the industry's foremost experts, John Szerdi of Living Designs Group, in conjunction with world-renowned environmental design consultant William Browning, Partner, Terrapin Bright Green," academy chair Jane Watt said. "The design is targeted to earn a top rating by certified LEEDS standards, entitling the school to be eligible for related grants."
